Into Legal World Webinar on "The impact of CSR during COVID-19" and discussion on Career in Corporate Law

Corporate Social Responsibility played a major role in combatting the COVID19 pandemic situation. The way corporates came forward to help the government was unprecedented. The webinar will discuss how COVID-19 pandemic can impact the advancements of CSR in India. The webinar will contend that COVID-19 pandemic offers an extraordinary open door for organizations to move towards increasingly genuine and credible CSR and add to address dire worldwide social and environmental challenges. The webinar will examine specific concepts relating to Environment, Sustainability, and Governance (ESGs). The current policy is unresponsive to cater and recover CSR in India. Lack of due diligence and weak governance poses higher risks of CSR frauds. How law will cease this fraud mitigation menace by analysing EY’s report and amendments in Companies Act 2013 in the times of pandemic.

The webinar will also include a special segment where the career and opportunities in Corporate Law would be discussed.

Nidhi Singh, currently working as an Assistant Professor in Amity University, has pursued LL.M in Corporate laws from prominent law school in the country, Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, and held the second position overall in my academic batch. She have been one of the top five rank holders in B.A.LL.B (Hons.) from University of Lucknow. She is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biodiversity laws under the guidance of Prof. DNNS Yadav from the University of Lucknow. She have completed P.G. Diploma in Environmental Law from the premier law school of the country, National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore in 2016 qualifying highest marks in my research work and received the distinction from the then Chief Justice of India Hon’ble Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar. She have also qualified UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) in Law during July 2016. Ms Nidhi Singh have also authored a book Illegal Wildlife Trafficking in India: Challenges and Remedies and got published several articles in many reputed journals. She have also been top ten contestants of one of the most celebrated and eminent reality TV shows of India- Kaun Banega Crorepati, India, Season 11.
